Before any surgery is performed, a pre-operative appointment will be scheduled with one of our peroviders to ensure the spot of concern is amenable to in-office removal and to review medical background for safety. Additionally, if there are different treatment or closure options, these can be discussed during the consultation.
Once the growth has been surgically excised, the skin is usually closed with sutures. Upon the completion of the surgery, the dermatologist or medical provider will provide both written and verbal instructions. Typically, a follow-up appointment will be scheduled to return in one to two weeks.
